Glass Cullet
Crushed and uncrushed — our primary material.

A community-driven recycling enterprise transforming waste into livelihoods across rural KwaZulu-Natal — 72 tons every month, and counting.
What we handle
Glass cullet is our primary material, backed by direct off-take with the Ardagh Group. We also collect PET, TETRAPAK, paper, cardboard and metal cans through PETCO-supported cages and our mobile bakkie service.
Crushed and uncrushed — our primary material.
Collected via PETCO cages across the municipality.
Supported by PETCO collection initiatives.
Recovered from households and businesses.
Aluminium and steel recyclables.
14-ton truck for shipment to off-take partners.

How it works
Over 25 waste collectors gather recyclables in and around Nquthu.
Our mobile team collects material directly — no fixed buy-back centre required.
Glass is crushed and materials are baled for shipment in our 14-ton truck.
Consistent supply to Ardagh Group closes the loop into new glass.
Community impact
80% of our team are young people from Nquthu communities and 35% are women. We back environmental awareness campaigns, educational initiatives and clean-ups aligned with our municipality's vision for a greener future.
Livelihoods for 25+ collectors and 8 permanent staff.
Reducing illegal dumping across Nquthu Local Municipality.

Whether you're a business, a household or a fellow collector, we'd love to hear from you.
